Room Type Disabled - Rate Still Showing

Why does my PCM service have a triple room reduction? (When the Triple Room has been disabled in Product Setup Policies).

Overview

Un-checking Room Types does not remove the existing rate.

A PCM does not have a concept of room types and is different to how the FITs and Groups application calculates rooms. A PCM calculates the total of all available Per Person Prices and the total of all room supplements and/or reductions.

There may be times that a particular Room Type was available and the supplier no longer provides that room configuration. Often the Room Type is disabled, however product teams have left the legacy room rates save in the rate period.

Removing A Room Type Rate

  1. Find and open the required product Policies tab.

  2. Re-enable the Room Type

  3. Open the Rates menu for the Rate Period and remove the rate (Cost & Sell) values for the Room Type no longer required.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Re-display the product Policies tab, disable the Room Type by un-selecting the Room Type check box.
