Email Agent Registration

We’ve made the following update to support email sending through Office 365 using modern authentication.

The send agent registration email function has been updated to support Office 365. If configured, this email will now be sent using modern authentication. These changes help ensure secure reliable email delivery.

(all other email functions in webConnect were updated in earlier releases).

Supplier Confirmation

We have enhanced our online booking UI in webConnect to allow the supplier confirmation details to show if supplier confirmation is configured in your NX system.

Please speak with your local Tourplan support team if you are interested in enabling this field.

Option Info Requests

We have improved efficiencies in currency conversions when there is no currency subcode attached to the booking agent. The defined DEFAULT_SUBCODE is now used for the exchange rate conversion between the product rate currency and the agent default currency.

Quote to Book and Accept Service

We’ve enhanced Pax types change features when product age policies are applied for differing product requirements. For example, changing a ‘Child to an ‘Adult (or vice versa) based on age eligibility rules or room configuration policies.

Calendar Selector

We’ve improved our calendar month selection feature, previous and next arrows now move to the previous or next month for all webConnect looks.

More Information Pages

Improvements to dynamic rates booking functionality from the More Information Page, ‘Book Now’ feature.

Agent Credit Limit

We’ve enhanced Agent Credit Limit messaging, when:

• ICOM_CREDIT_LIMIT_TYPE_CHECK is set to ‘Current’.

• A Debtor has a credit limit defined in NX.

• webConnect configuration does not include a prepayAgent User Defined Text or Online Payment Now Agent User Defined Text.

• webConnect configuration has a shopping cart enabled and Online Payment Agent User Defined Text defined.

Add Service Supplier Search

We’ve improved supplier lead search parameters to allow partial supplier name searches.

External Rate Information

External rate details are now supported for external non-accommodation service pick up information including, external end point name, minutes prior, optional addresses, external end point information.

Pick up Drop off

We updated functionality for the pickup time component to align with NX’s pick up functionality.

If a pickup point is selected and the pickup time is present, the time component will now automatically update.

If a pickup point is selected and the pickup time is left blank, the time component will remain unchanged.

Search Results

We've enhanced the grouping of supplier to ensure that all suppliers with the same name appear together in the search results.

Pick up Drop off

An enhanced feature now allows users to view and select pre-defined pick-up and drop-off fields for externally booked tour services.

Booking Cancellation

A booking cancellation request will not execute if the Booking 'Cancellation' Status in NX is set to 'Internet Read Only'.

Pick up Drop off

Pick up, drop off pre-defined field enhancements include the following:

If you have:

• pre-defined pick up/drop off points in NX and your product is set to 'promt for pick up and drop off', then one of the pre-defined values must be selected in webConnect.

• pre-defined pick up/drop off points in NX and your product is not set to 'prompt for pick up/drop off', then the field can be left blank or select a pre-defined value in webConnect.

If you don't have any pre-defined pick up/drop off points then pick up/drop off details will be free format with no validation or prompting in webConnect.

Pick up Drop off

The pick up / drop off remarks field drop-down now provides an ellipsis for lengthy field entries, allowing the drop-down to sit beside the time fields.

Quote Default

The ability to configure a default quote button selection has been re-instated in webConnect.

Pick up & Drop Off

A new configuration feature to restrict editing of pick up and drop off remarks within a pre-defined number of days can be applied. Configuration settings for this feature are defined per webConnect product type. Please speak with your Local Tourplan Support team if you are interested in learning more about this feature.

Product Tariff

Destination field selection now automatically apply the linked country field for the Product Tariff search page.

The cancellation policies display now consolidates for Product Tariff.

System wide

System wide functionality amendment to pick up and drop off fields when replicated locations are in use.

View Booking Message Buttons

Custom button labelling features now allow messaging buttons on the View Booking Page to be uniquely named. Organizations also have the option to assign specific message default code per button. This feature offers flexibility to clients who have more than on webConnect instance configured for their different markets. If you are interested in this feature we suggest making a time with your Local Tourplan Support team to discuss.

View Booking Service Line Pricing

A new configuration setting provides the option for organizations to assign specific booking status' to hide service line pricing.

Automated Rate Sorting

A feature enhancement when sorting by 'Rate' allows webConnect to automate the display of product search results. Irrespective of where the rate is coming from (Internal or External), all rates are now returned in ascending or descending order.

Default Children/Infant Name Entry

Configuration settings can be applied allowing default names to append to children and infant names enhancing booking/quote processing times.

Cancellation Policy Value Display

Organisation can now determine the display of their cancellation policy values. Added configuration settings now allow cancellation policy values to display as:

• Agent only values

• Retail only values

• Agent & Retail values, or

• Hide cancel policies

Quote Message Buttons

A new configuration setting allows organisations to further control the availability of their agent message buttons when a quotation is entered.

Cancellation Policy Warning Messages

Two new configuration settings allow the Forgotten Password feature on the Agent Login page to send an alert email. Organisations can now define text for a default subject line and apply default text for the email message.

Tariff Display

We have enhanced the Tariff display for services that use pax breaks. NA will now display for pax breaks configured with a 0 value.

Surcharge Display

Organisation which apply Payment Gateway transactions will notice fixed service surcharges now display at the bottom of the service list. A new configuration applies a default setting of +30 days from the first date of travel for the fixed service amount. This setting ensures the existing itinerary service list is uninterrupted.

Quote to Book

A configuration (if set) will now also limit the number of days in the future a service can be booked when converting a quote to a booking.

Service Search

Enhancement to the service search 'Country Field' now allows 'All' to display at the top of the drop-down list. If configured users will be able to perform a service search on 'All' Countries.

External Service Alert Message

A message can now display to inform agents that the quotation is using an external service. The default message is configured to display with the following text: Do you wish to convert this quote to a booking (The quote contains external services: XXXXXX) - and then lists the external services included. Organisations can contact their support team to enable this feature.

Rate Search

The search filters can now be configured to filter by (total price) the retail rate values instead of agent price.

Value Add Icons

Enhancement to include 'Sales From' and 'Sales To' value add icons. Two new configuration settings have been included to support the new rate icons. If you are interested in applying these new value add icons, we suggest making a time with your Local Tourplan Support team to discuss.

Quote Availability

Functionality now allows the system to check quote availability for the entirety of service dates selected.

Supplier Availability

'Locality Fields'

If organisations had selected to show locality and locality description fields on their supplier availability pages. A feature enhancement has been applied when multiple localities are attached to their service - the first locality and locality description will now display allowing a better page display.

Payment Gateway

Functionality enhancements allow booking invoice receipts to accept multiple payment methods through the Payment Gateway. There are a number of Payment Gateways connected to different banks around the world and each connection requires development to enable the connection from webConnect to our Tourplan clients's bank. If you are interested in this feature please speak with your Local Tourplan Support office.

Booking Request Emails

The shopping cart now allows Booking Request messages to generate when payment is received through the payment gateway. Please speak with your Local Tourplan Support office if your organisation is interested in this functionality.

Payment Details

The booking currency field on the Payment Details screen now reflects the currency the payment was made in.

Supplier & Product Option More Info Pages

webConnect enhancements allow image names to display alongside published images. A new configuration setting can be enabled for organisations to use the saved image name for Supplier Gallery Picture Names, and Product Gallery Picture Names.

Before turning on this feature we suggest image names are checked to ensure they are detailed correctly.

View Booking Page

Organisations can choose to display Agent Reference number on the View Booking page.

Functionality has been enhanced to include a new feature which can hide Service Totals for specific booking branches.

Shopping Cart

Organisation can now configure the Shopping Cart functionality to generate an email for services which have been added as an on request status.

Search Service Buttons

An additional down arrow icon can be enabled to make it easier to identify down fields on the search panel.

Search Refine Page

This feature is designed for iS clients who require cancellation note information to display for external rates (specifically for iS clients who are not using NX's cancellation policy features).

External Rates can now display Supplier and Option notes in the Search Results page.

View Booking Page

Shopping Cart

External Option details - including an external rate comment field, cancellation policies and Rate Plan descriptions - can now be exposed to display on the Add Services page, and View Booking page. If your organisation is interested in configuring this feature please speak with your Local Tourplan Support team as they will work with you to see if your current set up and external connection will support it.

Please note: These fields can also display in the Shopping Cart if client sites are configured to use the Shopping Cart.

iFrame Mode in Chrome

Development has occurred in response to new security restrictions imposed by Chrome.

iFrame users of webConnect can contact Tourplan Support if they are experiencing security Login issues. One of the team will assist with iFrame implementation in response to the Chrome restrictions around Cookie handling.

Availability Search Page

The Availability Search results screen can be configured to allow searched results option details to be expanded by default instead of the collapsed view.

Service Search Page

webConnect users can now enter the quantity of children into the Service Search page without a limitation on defining the children's ages.

All Pages

Users will see an enhanced display for all pages where blank lines have been removed if they were unnecessarily displaying.

Tariff & More Information Pages

Changes to the 'Tariff' and 'More Information' pages now allow note information to display based on the Agent price code list. A configurable pair of Price Code + Note will mean that when there is a match with the Agent Price Code list, the note will display. If the Code is not in the Agent Price Code list then the note will not display. This feature can be useful for Nationality Pricing (by Price Code) where different information may need to be displayed for different agents.

Shopping Cart

Enhancements have occurred providing the ability for services to be sold off allocation when using the Shopping Cart. The new logic now checks the availability for service dates and number of second charge units required.

Copy Booking to Quote Button

Functionality updates have been made to the View Booking page. This release includes a newly configurable button called 'Copy Booking to Quote' (once enabled) allows users to copy an existing booking to use it as a new quotation.

Age Fields

Functionality amendment to age related fields has occurred allowing users to enter a child's age (when the date of birth may not be known). This change will reduce the time taken when creating new quotes or bookings where children or infants are included. The age related information is then transferred onto the Passenger Details screen allowing consultants to see the age of the passenger travelling, eliminating the requirement to re-enter this information.

Cancellation Policy Display

Small change to the date and time display for cancellation policies, they are now in-line with Tourplan NX date displays.
