Screen Size Settings
How do I change the onscreen size of the Tourplan NX UI?
This article explains how to change the onscreen size of the UI width to suit different monitor setups. It outlines the common approaches available and provides practical guidance for finding a configuration that works well across the range of displays typically found within an organisation.
Overview
Via the ‘UI_BIGSCREEN’ setting, within INI Settings > System, the UI response to screen size can be configured to behave in different ways.
Options:
-
Yes – This will allow the UI Width to adjust to 1366px, 1920px, 2650px or 3840px depending on the monitor size.
-
No – This will set the UI to 1366px not matter the size of the monitor.
-
Always – This will set the UI width to 1920px no matter the size of the monitor.
Monitor sizes can vary for users within an organisation. Configuration variations can be applied for the following scenarios:
-
Companywide - The Tourplan NX UI will be configured the same way for all users.
-
Individual Users - The Tourplan NX UI will be configured a specific way for individual users.
-
A combination of both – The Tourplan UI uses a default configuration, with specific users applying individual configurations.
NOTE: As setting up this behaviour within the Tourplan NX UI is done within INI Settings, this article assumes that you have the correct access level within your organisation’s Tourplan NX to access these.

Blended Configuration
Some organisations may wish to setup a scenario where there is a default company-wide configuration for their Tourplan NX UI, whilst allowing certain users to apply individual settings.
For example:
-
Companywide = 1920px default
-
User Dan = 3840px
-
User Lawrence = 2650px
To achieve this simply follow the above processes, setting the default companywide behaviour and then adding specific individual user settings as desired.
NOTE: This will result in multiple UI_BIGSCREEN settings within INI Settings > System. To learn more about this see View Users INI Settings
